Two for the road: Moving on from San Francisco, Moon Duo travels through Mazes

Last week, I interviewed Erik “Ripley” Johnson of Moon Duo for the Bay Guardian. Moon Duo’s just-released second full-length, Mazes (Sacred Bones), relays the story of a man on the road. I learned, when I interviewed Johnson, that last year he was on tour for 8 months with Moon Duo and Wooden Shjips. During that time, him and keyboardist Sanae Yamada also gave up their Mission apartment to move the highlands of Blue River, Colorado.
